Deep Down You Are Intuitive

You’re the type of person who understands other people and the world very well. You don’t let on to how much you know.
You can tell so much from someone’s facial expressions or tone of voice. And you always know when you’re being lied to.

You show the world exactly what you want to show. Besides being good at reading people, you also know how you’re being read.
You know when you’re being manipulated, and you know how to manipulate someone if you have to. You usually don’t resort to it though!

Fight for Preemies

You have just watched a very touching video. It talks about how many, many people go through their everyday lives with problems such as having a premature baby. It is the way things happen even for those that do EVERYTHING right sometimes.

Many times we take for granted the healthy lives that we live and forget that many people don’t get the chance to have the same lives that we do.

Prematurity is a serious health problem. A preterm birth is considered to happen to any baby that is born prior to the 37 week of gestation. Any child born before the 37 weeks is premature. To put this in perspective: 500,000+ babies are born premature in the United State a year.

How Prematurity Affects Us

Many people today look around and say “Why should I care? How does it affect me?”

I have to answer that question with the fact that at least one person in your family or your close friends have been born or know someone that has been born premature. If you happen to not, then you either live in a shoebox and have very few friends and family, have never asked about it, or you are just very lucky.

Some day many of us will grow up and take on lives and roles as productive citizens. Part of that role is looked at as becoming parents. Parents of babies. Babies that may, or may not, be born premature. So how does this affect you? It is an emotional, mental, and physical stress. It is an economical, spiritual, and relentlessness stress.

So why not stand up against this now, while you still have time to help save the lives of others? Why not take the time to possibly help save the life of your own child?

Take the Time

Take the time to give the slightest chance to a baby. Use your Facebook status, Tweets, E-mail Signatures, or anything else you use to spread the word about this mission. Tell the very core of your friends why you take the time to save the lives of babies by helping fund the mission of the March of Dimes, by becoming an advocate for those without a voice, by helping improve upon the education for teens and young adults about Pregnacy.

Taking on the New – Getting rid of the Old

September 29th, 2009

“Like branches of a tree we grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one. Each of our lives will always be a special part of the other’s.”
—Unknown

Life, it is the unknown that shall always confuse us. However, the time has come in everyone’s life when they know it is time to let go of some things. The quote above tells us that even though we have moved apart during this current times we have effected others lives with what we have done while together.

In 22 days I turn 20 years old. Times have come that I change who I am, and become a better person for that. Time has come that I take a stance against the errors of the world and make my own self known.

Today, I talked to a friend, that is so close I used to consider a Brother, for the first time in about a week, and honestly I didn’t care for what he spoke. It was like we were strained to be able to say hello to each other and ask how things where going. Life put us together during High School, but in College it has torn us apart. He is the college drop out that is happy with being in a factory for the rest of his life. I am in College striving to make myself better than that. Better than my father that is a factory worker and better than my mother that is a nurse.

In many ways I don’t know why i strive so hard, but I do.

This week has marked myself as trying to come to terms with whats going on in my life and making some changes to better myself. I shall strive to study harder and prepare myself for the classes that lay ahead.

School Starts Soon

August 20th, 2009

Okay so I was looking around and at the time. Its just days away from the time that school starts. So it has come to my attention that it is just a loverly four days until class starts.

So its just a matter of days before the new crazy days of classes start up.

Just to give you an idea of what it all is going to be like the first week here is a PDF version of what I will be doing. I hope you all love it..

Phi Beta Lambda

Okay so its starting back up again. I am honestly pumped about it. I know I only have a few months left as a state officer, but I feel this year will be a turning point for ASU PBL! We have a great new co-advisor and an awesome officer team for ASU.

On the state level the team is ready for everything and anything. We are all kind of on the same wave length. We all had a great time planning out our POW/A and loved the changes that we made to it.

I think the Fall Conference will be a blast! Atleast it will be something big for Harrison when you have around 100 students from all over the state in one small place. Lucky for us.. we are just 30 minutes or so away from Branson!

March of Dimes

Okay so this is also a busy time for the March of Dimes! We are getting together and working on several new ideas and projects! One of them is working on a Pagent for awerness and a fundraiser.

The other is working on the Chef’s Auction. It is going to be awesome we have all sorts planned out.

Also Little Rock is getting a group together and I have been asked to go down there and help interview members for their youth council. I am pretty pumped about everything that is going on int he March of Dimes work!
