So I haven’t updated the website in a long while. I have currently been very busy in an organization called Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda. It is a student business organization that allows all majors to join.
I was recently elected to serve as their 2010-2011 Southern Region Vice President. I will oversee the twelve southern states that make up the Southern Region of Phi Beta Lambda. The Southern Region Vice President is one of the nine national officer positions that govern the nearly 11,000 student members of this organization.
We are now getting ready for our National Officer Training (N.O.T. as I like to call it!) and I found out that on my second flight I get to travel with out National Secretary. It is kind of cool that we can come from two different parts of the US and happen to end up on the same flight coming from Atlanta to Reston and be sitting next to each other. Now I know they most likely set that up, but it is awesome. Now we can plot how to take over everything as we travel.
Anyways thats my short update!

So tonight was the finale for Grey’s Anatomy. It was very scary to not know which characters would be getting killed off. I watched the trailer for the show and of course it makes you think right away that Baily was going to be killed off. Of course she got out of being shot all together.
Dr. Reed and Dr. Denman got shot and killed.
- Reed to the head surprise shot. Dead right away.. found by April after she tripped over her into all the blood.
- Denman an abdominal shot. Dr. Baily wasn’t able to get him to an OR to be able to operate or anything. Was kind of sad to see him pass away in Baily’s lab after confessing his love for Dr. Reed and telling Baily that she was his favorite doctor.
Dr.s Sheppard, Hunt , Karev all got shot.
- Sheppard a chest with the bullet lodged in his chest. Dr. Yang was the only doctor that was around to do the surgery. It was very scary thing. Pig or Cow? That is the question.
- Hunt got a shoulder wound trying to stop the shooter from shooting Dr. Grey
- Karev got shot when walking in on the shooters first shot.
- Dr Grey (big) was pregnant and ended up having a miscarriage due to the stress of the whole situation.
Overall it was a GREAT episode. I can’t believe that its over for the summer. Mostly the worst thing is waiting till next fall for it to start back up!

Every baby has their own story. This story can be great, “I was born healthy to a great family,” or it can be bad, “I was born premature, and passed away.”
Everyone has their own reasons for supporting the March of Dimes and their mission to help prevent birth defects, prematurity, and infant mortality. I have heard stories from the way people’s lives are effected because a brother or sister was born premature, someones kids were born premature, or even someones grandchildren were born premature.
This is why I implore you, beg you, and plead with you to make a donation to this cause! I have worked with the March of Dimes for four years now and I find out need information all the time.
Currently 1 out of every 8 babies in Arkansas are born premature
Currently 101 babies are born premature EVERY week in the state of Arkansas
This is why I fight for them. This is why I care about supporting the March of Dimes. It is through the dedication and efforts of millions of Volunteers that this mission will come true.

Okay so I have been recently back and forth about my career choice. I thought part of helping me decide would be getting a job in a Pharmacy because my Career choices have been Doctor or Pharmacist. Well I didn’t get the Pharmacy job that I was hoping to get (sucks!). Anyways I did a Med School tour Friday (16th) and had a BLAST!
I got to first go to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) which falls in with my March of Dimes volunteering. It is sooooo touching to see these little guys and girls fighting to stay alive.
The second thing I got to do was sit in on a Surgery. This has to be the best thing I have done and help me make the final call for what I want to be. I loved watching the surgery and knowing what was going on. It was very interesting to see the Dr’s doing their work, and no I wasn’t behind a glass wall. I was in the room with the Drs.. looking over their shoulders.
And before all that we had a GREAT speech that told you that a Dr’s true job is to remove the fear in medicine and sickness. Its not the healing its the removing fear. To be able to tell someone, I can fix that you take away the fear that something could kill you.
So I am now going to be a General Surgeon… now to just get my BA in Chem, then my MD so I can go and do Surg Residency.

Okay, so a friend told me I should watch Stargate SG-1. So, guess what, I am! I figured I could read through it and see whats so hot about it.
Okay so I am on 3/214 of the SG-1 Episodes = 1.40% of them watched.
Thus far Major Charles Kawalsky has been having one heck of a time. He got his own command, and then he gets infected with a Goa’uld, now he is currently up for death
So I think its kind of interesting. I like the show thus far. Little slow and then a little fast. I think I will keep watching these and see how they go. I mean hey its at least something to keep me going for a while. I mean 214 episodes is just crazy!
Well see you on the other side of the Stargate!
